Roy Keane. I could just leave it at that but it would be very short and hardly worth posting. In fact, I have such an intense dislike for the man I don’t know why I’m posting at all but how and ever.
I simply want to say two things: Roy, if there is anyone left in the country who didn’t think you an arsehole before today….well, you made it a clean sweep with your remarks about your past team-mates and present country-men.
Also, you tell them, the FAI and the Irish people to get over what happened…then you launch into an anecdote about Saipan. You tell the fans and the Irish team to get over an injustice that happened just two days ago, one that is fresh in the mind, but you still haven’t gotten over something that happened seven years ago.
As one William Shakespeare said, “Do not, as some ungracious pastors do, Show me the steep and thorny way to heaven; Whilst, like a puft and reckless libertine, Himself the primrose path of dalliance treads, And recks not his own rede.”
In other words, practice what you preach, Roy.

He had a point about the ball being cleared. Paul McShane is an accident waiting to happen when he is part of any teams defense and he should never have let the ball bounce, it should have been cleared. They were robbed though!

Couldn’t agree with you more Anna!!! Whether or not Paul McShane is an accident waiting to happen is besides the point…..Ireland deserved to go to south Africa and the comments that Rot Keane made were the height of disrespect to his country!!!! He certainly has gained no fans by what he said especially blaming Shay Given!!! Roy Keane needs to get over himself!!!!
